The descriptions on these are going to be the same, but I'm posting them separately because they are so complicated and I feel like they each deserve their own post. :)

I'm finally done with these guys and I get to share them with you all - hooray! :hooray: It was especially fun to be working on them in the time leading up to Halloween since the colors and decorative patchwork stiches were so Halloweeny. :)

I have to give a super big thanks to :icondisastralandraggie: for being super awesome. Not only was he really generous for letting us use his characters, he was even nice enough to answer a bunch of questions for me about them! Thank you! :D

:iconithryskylark: deserves an extra shoutout for awesomeness too for being so patient during this project. I had to learn a lot of new techniques that I had never done and it ended up taking a lot of extra time. Thank you for being great to work with and so understanding!

Fun Features:
- Inner armature for posing
- Magnets in the mouth and weapons
- Weapons in both foamcore board and fabric
- Functional mini dry erase board with custom logos and marker holder

Making the Ponies:
To better fit the armature and to be closer to the size we were looking for I ended up scaling the pattern up 20%. The pony bodies themselves were pretty straightforward except for all of the extra satin stitches (so much satin stitching!). The toughest patches and stitch patterns to figure out were the knee patches on Raggie and both of their face stiches/patches. The armatures threw me for a bit of a loop and were actually really complicated. My first one I overwrapped so I couldn't actually get it inside the body, so I had to pull it back and then try to wedge in stuffing around the armature with a long knitting needle to fill it out. The paper weapons were really fun to figure out! I read a lot of online tutorials/advice and felt really good about the whole process. It's not a fast process and there are a lot of little steps, but I'm really impressed with how solid they turned out! I was expecting them to be very flimsy but they are great! The whiteboards came out really cute too. :)

Design Details:
- These ponies are handmade by me from patterns that I designed.
- These pony character designs belong to DisastralAndRaggie - all credit for design adorableness goes to them!
- My Little Pony belongs to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Hasbro and associated parties.
- Size: Bigger than my regular mare pattern - these girls are 19 inches tall
- Materials (This is a long one this time!): Minky fabrics, Silky Soft ultra plush fiber filling, rayon embroidery thread, embroidery stabilizers, airtex foam, weighted plastic fill pellets, plastic button eyes, spraypaint, acrylic paints, foamcore board, ribbons, fabric glue, craft glue, hot glue, galvanized steel wire, quilt batting, white bord sheets, laminating sheets, printed designs, embroidery floss, metal chain, dry erase markers, foamies, paperclay, sandpaper, plastic bead tube.
